I’m hearing in my spirit this morning…April 19, 2012…as I am at the beach…enjoying all that God has provided…the ocean, the breeze, the clouds, the blue skies, the sand, the sun, the people I know and love …and the others like me at the beach, enjoying it with me, though we are strangers.
The Word of the LORD comes to me this morning saying…
God is not man that He should lie
As I heard these words…and no more…I have gone to google to look up the verse…
This is the address of the place I went to….

Since it would not let you click on the address, I copy pasted what I wanted you to see…
If you can’t do it one way…try another way….right??? 🙂
New International Version (©1984)
God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
New Living Translation (©2007)
God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?
English Standard Version (©2001)
God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?
New American Standard Bible (©1995)
“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? 🙂
GOD’S WORD® Translation (©1995)
God is not like people. He tells no lies. He is not like humans. He doesn’t change his mind. When he says something, he does it. When he makes a promise, he keeps it.
King James 2000 Bible (©2003)
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: has he said, and shall he not do it? or has he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
American King James Version
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: has he said, and shall he not do it? or has he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
American Standard Version
God is not a man, that he should lie, Neither the son of man, that he should repent: Hath he said, and will he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and will he not make it good?
Douay-Rheims Bible
God is not a man, that he should lie, nor as the son of man, that he should be changed. Hath he said then, and will he not do? hath he spoken, and will he not fulfil?
Darby Bible Translation
ùGod is not a man, that he should lie; neither a son of man, that he should repent. Shall he say and not do? and shall he speak and not make it good?
English Revised Version
God is not a man, that he should lie; Neither the son of man, that he should repent: Hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Webster’s Bible Translation
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoke, and shall he not make it good?
World English Bible
God is not a man, that he should lie, nor the son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?
Young’s Literal Translation
God is not a man — and lieth, And a son of man — and repenteth! Hath He said — and doth He not do it? And spoken — and doth He not confirm it?
Really speaking to us today, saints…
Some how we have the notion…we’ve actually believed a lie…from the father of all lies. We think that because we asked God and have not seen the answer immediately or in a few days…or weeks…or?? that God promised and has either changed His mind or did not mean what He said.
Anybody home?
He forgives all our iniquities (sin). He heals all our diseases.
You ask once…maybe even beg some for several days…or maybe longer…but…we forget!
If God says it is so … it is so!
I remember when I read in 1 John that this is the confidence we have in Him, that if we ask according to His will, He hears us, and if He hears us, we have our petition.
Remember when Jesus turned around when the woman grabbed hold of His garment…and as He looked for the one who had touched Him…she pulled back…and the disciples said Master, we’re in a crowd…any one could have touched your garment.
No, not so! Why? He felt virtue leave…power…someone had touched Him in Faith!!!
Same in prayer…
We are to find the promise we stand on…and we are to bring it to the LORD…and show Him what He promised us…
I know we think…well, doesn’t He know?
Yes, He knows our needs.
So, why do we ask?
Because that’s what He tells us to do, Ask and it shall be given unto you…Ask and ye shall receive.
When we ask, it is like when our children ask what time is dinner? or when a baby cries when he’s hungry.
It is asking of the one we know has the answer…has what we desire…our provider.
It is not like asking What time is it? or Do you have a pencil?
The LORD says if we abide in Him, and His Word abides in us…we shall ask whatever we will and it will be done for us.
What does the Word abiding in us have to do with asking?
When we know the Word…when we know what the LORD has promised…
When we know our authority as a Believer….
Then, when we stand and pray the Word…the solution and not all the details of all the circumstance…
Then, we will have the desires of our heart.
I must say that I am pleased to be God’s friend. I am delighted in His promises! As I delight in Him…He gives me the desires of my heart! After delighting in Him…my flesh burns away…and my heart is clean and pure…and my desires line up with His Word!
Then I ask…and He hears me…and gives me my petitions.
It’s amazing that He…the God of all the universe…hears man…when man cries out…calls out in Faith!!
God hears Faith. Without Faith, we cannot please God!!!
How do we get this Faith?
Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God!
Choose this day to spend time in the Word…in the presence of the LORD!!
When we sit down with the Word…we are in the LORD’s presence!!! He’s there…talking to us through His Word.
I have learned that the more Word I have in my heart…the less I sin against God…just like He promised.
Challenging you today to be a Word abider!!!
Until the next time…
